Nowadays, everybody want’s a blog, which is great news. But the task of actually creating a blog is usually enough to give the average person second thoughts.

Even the “famous five-minute setup” for WordPress is tricky when you think about it. In fact, if you don’t know your way around the web to begin with, arranging a web host and all that other jazz can be quite daunting.

If you can relate, then this post is for you.

Building a Website is Easy

Building a website is easy. Trust me. You just need to use the right tools.

To show the world how easy website building is, I have joined forces with Mike Johnston – the founder of CMS Critic, to launch Website Builders Critic.

We wanted to reach out to the less tech-savvy world, and demonstrate just how easy it is to build a blog, portfolio or even a business website – in minutes.

Alongside WordPress (which, don’t get me wrong, is one of my favourite platforms, and is what Employ the Internet runs on), there are a handful of other website builders that Mike and I have compiled. They’re quick and easy to use, produce truly good-looking websites, and they don’t cost an arm or a leg either.

So without any further ado, here is a video narrated by me (yeah, that’s right, I do videos now), showing you how to build a blog on Squarespace in 5 minutes.

The best part is, Squarespace offers a 14-day free trial, meaning that you can build, re-build and design your blog hundreds of times over before you sign up. Also, my recently published article on Squarespace vs WordPress might be worth checking out, too.

But if Squarespace doesn’t float your boat, we also have videos showing you how to build a blog in 5 minutes with LightCMS, Weebly and Wix.

Plus, we have a bunch of other videos on our YouTube Channel, demonstrating 5 minute portfolio building, business website building, and so forth.

Let me know if you have any success with Squarespace or any of the other website builders, and of course, feel free to reach out for any assistance!
